Im gonna go out on a limb and say that the limit break is chargable and would increase his damage input and specials over a period of time. The closest thing to that atm is Lucas PM Neutral B.

Personally. I'm not hyped for cloud, his stage looks like a fun stage to play on casually, but i am not excited for cloud. I never really liked cloud as a character and FF7 was unfortunatly my least favourite game so i was REALLY bummed they picked him. If it wasn't for the musical games on ds then i would have a leg on to say that he doesnt belong, i really think someone more iconic that featured on a nintendo game like Cecil or even Kain would have been a stronger, more unique pick. But i really was hoping for rydia, even though it will never happen QwQ.
On a side note, i'll still get him as a character so i don't get caught off guard when he appears in the competetive scene, but maining him? Only if you can be Zack with an alt skin. If you can then i would probably have him as a 3rd or 4th. (Cause Zack is the true hero QwQ)

Idk. He swings a sword. How much originality is there in that? Swords are unfortunately the coolest fantasy fiction weapon to have so almost every fantasy fiction protagonist will include this in their set. You can't blame smash for the fault of all general mainstream fiction if there happens to be similarities between Cloud and Ike. For the record, i'm as hyped as Etiks

I was discussing with a friend about why Cloud is a clone and what not (got shulks manado arts, little macs ko punch, robins up b ) but he then explicitly said to me....
Deez, everyone of those characters would be a clone of him.
Me: how so?
Friend: Cloud came before most of the Smash characters did.

I've played ff7 and didn't love it. The game felt like it went backwards rather then forwards, i had a huge long rant as to why ff7 wasn't that great in comparison to earlier installments. I just feel also that the game got a lot of hype due to it being the first Final fantasy with 3D models. I will give credit that Sephiroth's theme was pretty good though.

Maybe Cloud is Sony's plan for revenge on Nintendo for backing out of the Nintendo Playstation console back in the 90s. Nintendo have done all the development and now Sony will back out and say "Sorry you can't have Cloud. How does THAT feel suckers?"
