So are there any other Pit mains here or am I all alone?

I want to play Dark Pit if that means anything
Other than that you're pretty much like, one of 3 pit mains in Australia.

Dark Pit is pretty good. It feels like he has more landing lag on some of his aerials than Pit though, which is why I switched to Pit. That, and his arrows are better for edge guarding.
If there's only 3 Pit mains here in Australia that means... Im one of the best 3 Pit mains in Australia!

Does that mean there's only 2 of us now? Im in the top 2!!
But serious, I don't get why he isn't played much. He is great in this game. People say Dark Pit is better but after endless hours of playing both of them I liked Pit way more.

I heard zero say that pit was better than dark pit because pit's side-b is better. People aren't playing pit for the same reason they aren't playing rob. He isn't going to be the best character in the game or even in the top 5. Like he's good but not the best.

Yeah that's understandable. I guess its always going to be that way with Smash or any fighting game that is played competitively.
Anyway I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on my Pit in this video:
As the description says, I uploaded this match in-particular because it showcases what combos I can pull off with Pit and the main mistakes I tend to make that end up getting me KO'd. Any feedback to help me improve would be great.

You used Side B and got punished by it 66% of the time
Also you have multiple jumps, a character like Ganon has no answer if you bait stuff out using them. when you lost your first stock you should have jumped instead of fast fall near him.
Nice combos though, but try to kill earlier with F-smash imo
idk what Pit's kill moves are now though so, but fsmash was one of the main ones uncharged and like... dsmash was the best charged one because SDI existed

I have been trying to use side b less and less since I get punished by it often. In regards to kill moves, nearly every character will be KO'd by Pit's side B at 130%>, his tilts are also kill moves at very high percentages. His fsmash and dsmash are good kill moves at around 100% on light characters but around 150%> on the heavier ones.
This match I did make a lot of mistakes but that's why I uploaded this one not a match where I play perfectly and make nearly no mistakes.
Thank you very much for the feedback. I want to compete in tournaments and become the best Pit in Australia (although there may not be a lot of competition if there is only a few of us).

When he respawned you tried to hard to get the grab. I told you this earlier not sure if the game was before or after that but dude grabs will come you don't have to spam dash grab until you get one.
edit: one thing i might add is the fact that 99% of the time you will never i guess brawl the opponent (jab/t-tilt/other tilts) you always prefer to dash attack, side B or roll behind and grab for approach. You really avoid facing the opponent straight on in range of their f-smash and you will almost always roll behind when in this situation then if they roll you roll again and again until they stop rolling then you go for dash grab. Pit is fast some of those tilts might be worth looking into.

This game was before that advice. Since then if I miss a grab I stop and try something else. Spamming grab was one of my worst habits and my game has improved greatly since I stopped.

As general advice, smash brothers is a game that will reward reactive gameplay and learning the opponent as well the character their playing. Habits and auto piloting are things that you must always avoid or you will be punished.

I FOUND THE PIT THREAD AFTER BEING HERE FOR LIKE 5 MONTHS WHEEEEEEEEEEEE
General Pit Combos:
0% - down throw up smash (GUARANTEE easy 20%)
0% - dash attack up smash (NOT GUARANTEED but does 25%)
0-10%? - down throw full hop dair, dair, dair (not guaranteed again, very weight and DI dependant and 3rd hit either meteors or missed)
~20-50% - down throw up air/fair mostly guaranteed
after 50-70% depending on character weight, airdodge reads are required
-fthrow kills oh my!
-uthrow does the most damage out of throws so at higher %s you might has well uthrow if ur in the middle of the stage and arrow and followup if possible. it also kills lighter characters at disgustingly high %s like 140+
-bthrow kills on walkoffs :^) and also sets up an edgeguard situation if near the ledge
KILL SETUPS
when playing pit i find killing my weakness
- fthrow is not weight dependant and can kill at around 110 or so depending on weight
- side smash is amazingly op but can be punished
- down smash is amazingly hard to punish and kills at 120 or 100 depending on first and second hit
- grab release --> fsmash. yes people fall for this and it gives me the cheekiest smile when it works
- side b NOT RECOMMENDED unless u hella read an option
- down throw to charge upsmash is amazing on people who like to airdodge your up air, they fall right into your upsmash c:
OFFSTAGE
pits offstage is friggin ridic man. back air is amazing, fair kills at like 80% and dair meteors. u can use all your jumps and still make it back with upb.
also its kinda funny when you kill people offstage with a down b gimp (ness heh)
arrows are super good if u master them, you can condition your opponent to airdodge offstage a lot and then mix it up with some aerials, usually a forward air will hit, and destroy their chance of survival.
THINGS I HAVE LEARNT WHICH ARE USEFUL
- PIVOT GRABSS. i swear these things were like made for pit, your grab range becomes insane.
- Ledge trumps into a back air is so strong.
- Ftilt tipper is actually useful on the ledge if they do a normal getup cos if you time it right they cant shield. KILLS
might have missed some stuff, but this should be the gist of it! c:
