- 3 stock, 9 minute timer.

- A set is comprised of a best of three games. Winners and losers' finals and semi-finals, as well as grand finals are best of five.

- In the case of the time limit running out, the winner is the player with the most number of stocks remaining. If this is equal, the winner is the one with the lower damage. If this is also equal, a rematch is required (same characters, same stage).

- If a sudden death is caused as a result of a suicide move, the initiator of the move is granted the victory. If a sudden death is caused due to both players dying at the same time, a rematch is played.

- Items are switched to "on" and "high".

- Customisations are "on", equipment is banned. The only characters that are allowed to use custom moves are Miis and Palutena. We already have a customs tourney if that's your jam and custom equipment is SO last tourney guys, like seriously, get with it.

- Starter stages are Kongo Jungle 64, Castle Siege, Wuhu Island, Gamer and Pokemon Stadium 2. The person who bans first is the person on the upper side of challonge bracket. The other player bans 2 and then the first player picks from one of the two remaining stages. You can organise this through skype, FB or PM on here.

- Counterpick stages are Jungle Hijinx, Halberd (Recommended for use against Joel), Kalos Pokemon League, Norfair, Mario Circuit, Coliseum and Wii Fit Studio

-Gentleman's Rule is allowed for whatever you want.

- For games two and beyond in a set, player that won the last game chooses two stages to ban. The loser then chooses one of the starter or counterpick stages to play the next game on.

-Lucas and Mewtwo are both legal

- Characters and customs (if applicable) are to be announced before stages are picked. Customs are to be picked and announced as characters are picked. Don't be a jerk and forget to announce this kind of thing. If you don't announce your character and customs before the game, you are to replay the match if the loser of the match requests for a replay.

- If a player is using Bowser Jr., then it is expected that they attempt to activate the clown car glitch (if it's still in the game, idk). This is just the kind of jank that this tourney series is meant to encourage. I mean come on, what could be more janky than a Bowser Jr. teleporting around with a gust bellows. If there is reasonable evidence that the player didn't try to activate the glitch in order to exploit this rule, the player will be banned from all Maribro Party Tourneys. You have been warned >:3

-The Maribro Rule. Exclusive to this tourney, if you are 1-0 (best of 3) down in a set or 2-0 (best of 5) down in a set and bring it back to even (1-1 or 2-2) then you are allowed to call the Maribro Rule and challenge your opponent to a Pac Ditto. It is encouraged you emulate Maribro Sensei in this ditto and run away and offstage BF charge as much as possible.

General Etiquette

- As a general courtesy, please try to avoid using Perth internet to play your matches. This has caused several issues in the past and should be avoided at all costs. It's understandable many of you are also from Perth but if you can afford to fly interstate to use the internet over there, this is encouraged.

- I am not setting a time limit for this tournament to finish. However, please try not to make it take as long as IDHJ does because that'd be painful. Also, loser's bracket should stop being so slack in future. Thank you.

-If there are disputes then I will talk sense into both of you. This is an online jank tournament with items. If you're disputing over something as petty as this then you probably need to reevaluate your life. If anyone is caught repeatedly not reevaluating your life when told to do so they will be banned from future tournaments, so I ask for your cooperation and maturity.

-If you don't play Pac Man then I'll judge you. If you main Rosalina then I'll judge you even more. Exceptions include Ganon and only Ganon.

-If you aren't trying to make your opponent really salty with all the disrespect you're giving him/her then you aren't treating this tourney right.
