Oh what do you know I never introduced myself here.
I play cloud but I'll probably drop him cos he's boring (lol my autocorrect corrected this to broken and I almost kept it) Otherwise I play falcon who I'm going to use more now and I've recently picked up Mario because his upsmash is broken (I don't even know how to play Mario I just upsmash and win :)
I'm a GC scrub and I went to a Brisbane tourney once but honestly I'll probably only ever go to smash by the beaches because transport isn't easy :')
I also bop McJobo for free
That's all you need to know

Hi I'm Bradles. I've been playing Smash since the 3DS version game out but only decided to get good when I got the Wii U version back in Christmas last year. I was a former Ness, Link, ZSS and Villager main but dropped them to be a solo Villager.
I'm primarily an online warrior and have only attended tournaments as of recently. I am one of the youngest players in the Sydney Smash community which makes me feel outcast :(
I hate DLC (Cloud, Bayonetta, Corrin)
Villager needs more representation in NSW.

Hi Bradles! Nice to see you on the site.
I know it can be a bit daunting being the new person in the scene, especially when most people are a lot older than you. One of the great things about the smash community is that it brings together people from all walks of life and unites them around a common interest. Even if we seem scary at first because we're older, I assure you that we're all very friendly and are happy that you're able to come to tournaments.
I definitely recommend that you come to as many tournaments as you can, not only because it is a very different experience to playing online and can really help you improve, but also because it's a great way to meet new people and learn how to interact with the world. This is an important life skill that they don't really teach you in school, and now is the best time to start learning. The smash scene is a great place for this, where you get to meet lots of interesting people who you wouldn'tve met otherwise, and some of them can even become your best friends.
The smash scene is supposed to be a safe, friendly, welcoming environment. On the whole, everyone's pretty friendly in the scene (sometimes people get a bit salty about losing, but that's pretty normal and doesn't tend to last long), so hopefully you shouldn't run into any issues like this. Unfortunately, they do happen on rare occasions, so if you ever feel like there's something or someone that's causing you trouble in the smash community, then please do talk to one of the organisers about it, and we'll do our very best to deal with it.
Villager rep in NSW is actually pretty good in NSW! Adam is the best villager player we have, and he tends to do quite well in tournaments - he's placed in the top 8 at several tournaments! We also have Dimples, who is a fairly new player like yourself; he's only been to a few events, but he has been doing very well for a new player, usually making it out of pools at tournaments. If you start coming regularly too, Villager will definitely be a scary character to watch out for at NSW tournaments!
We all hate DLC too. Cloud is dumb. XD
Hope that my post wasn't too long/rambly. Welcome to the scene, it's lovely to have you! =)

Hi Bradles! We'd love to have you around the scene, I joined the scene at a very young age as well so I know it can be a bit daunting. Peeps are nice though and there's also more young players in this community than ever before, so you're 100% not alone. Come along with family if it makes you feel any more comfortable! :)
