Rules
Order of Events:
- Between 11 and 12 to sign on. $5 for Singles, $3 for Demo and $5 for a Team in Doubles.
Due to how the Building works if you are not there before 12 you might get locked out of the building.
(Sign on for Singles must be during this time. Sign on for Doubles and Demo can go until the end of Break)
- 12 - 2 Singles Finals might cut into Break.

The room we are in has a Fridge, Boiling and Chilled water taps and a Microwave, as well as vending Machines, Not much will be open at the Uni that day.
- 3 - 4:30 Doubles and Demo

All Prizes for Singles and Doubles will be Cash from the money raised from the entry costs.
The Prize for the Demo will be revealed on the day. And entry fees will be used to cover it. Cash might be some of the prizes.

i'd say both of the tourneys on the first weekend are aiming for more of a casual crowd, so maybe not.
i've been in talks with lachlan last night (UQ tourney TO) and there seems to be quite a push for a few things like no items, singles after doubles (not before) so he's in the process of changing the rules right now.
the best way to influence this is to go to the facebook page advertised at the top. i was going to post updated rules last night with no items but they're still hammering a few things out so i thought i'd wait.
he's pretty keen on swiss though

I don't really like/care about doubles in a competitive context, so I would prefer Friendlies>Singles>Doubles so you can leave after singles. I just assumed most people would go to a tournament for singles. It's all a matter of opinion I guess :P

5th October 2014
You must have the Day 1 Patch Installed in order for the least errors to occur.
Full Version
Singles – Pools into double elimination bracket
Items:
- No Items
- Any Items found to be on will result in that P1 or the Host, Loosing that
Game.
Stages:
- The following stages are allowed:
o Final Destination
o Yoshi’s Island
o Battlefield
o And any omega skin for any maps!
Any other stage can be chosen if both parties agree to it, however once the game
has begun the result of the match is final and cannot be changed.
Matches:
- Each Game will be a 4 Stock with an 8 minute Timer.
Fighters:
- All Fighters are allowed
- Custom Moves will not be allowed Except on the Mii’s because at the time
of writing this all the Mii’s come with their custom moves unlocked. Any other Fighter
found using a Custom Move set will result in a Loss and the 3 Points will be detracted.
- No Equipment Will Be allowed (These are the Stat Modifiers), To check that
these are not in use you might be asked to show your Custom settings after a fight.
Pools:
- Multiple pools of 4 players (as many as players allow)
- Top 2 will go into a pro-bracket (double elimination), and the bottom two into
an amateur bracket (double elimination as well)
- no prizes for amateur just for fun/bragging rights.
Prizes:
- All the entry fees are being put back into the Prizes so the More people that
show up the Larger the Prize can be.
- Once everyone has payed for entering the Prize Amount Will Be revealed.
