If I'm playing against lucario and I get him to 140%, and I'm at 60%, I'm losing. How is THAT fair?
Lucario gets to 100% and is like "suddenly I have the best projectile in the game, cool, try approaching me!"
None of those characters can KO at 40% they get a fully forward smash. They might KO at 60% maybe, plus they have to approach.
Alot of characters can kill at 40%. Like bowser, roy or marth, heck they even break shields. And they all don't need to be at a high percent

You either need a hard read or a bad opponent to land those moves
Thing is, most of Lucario's really strong moves are hard to land and he doesn't have any kill confirms.

And how is that a trade-off? Lucario is 18'th in weight iirc. Killing people simply because you lost the stock is bad design from any angle.
The point is, you can't just say "Don't get hit by these 4 or 5 kill moves that kill you at 50% after you've destroyed me all stock"
Jezmo, why would you even let me get to that high percentage any ways. It's called, my trade off is I can be killed with a smash attack
If Falcons jabbed killed me then, nintendo would clearly nerf. I would be like, why did I get hit and try and fix the mistake I made
If Falcons jab killed you at 10%, would you call that bad design, or get up the player for getting hit by it?
Because you can outplay them over an entire stock, then they land one random smash attack. That's not outplaying someone. It's luck.
Then get outplayed yourself and die and have a lost stock. You don't do that Jezmo but heaps of people down here run into my fsmash

Then I can heavy skull bash people at 60% cause customs are fun happy times
I don't really care for customs at all but in Sydney they are used and with a big tournament next weekend I might as well get pikas
Smh just play smash run if you want customs that badly. If you use the character you want customs for then you usually get their moves
I use the 'wasting your life while Sakurai laughs' method.
