Mafia, Smashbox V edition - game over; VIC and NSW mafia win! page 59

"In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.

At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.

The game has two phases. Usually the first is Night. During Night, the Town can not communicate, but the Mafia can discuss and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player, and Day begins.

During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it is once again Night.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else."

Rules:
1. Unless your role specifically states otherwise, no communication about the game takes place outside of this thread. This includes both players and non-players.
2. No quoting or partial quoting mod PMs, or faking a quoted mod PM in this thread.
You MAY state your role / alignment
You MAY state your character
You MAY paraphrase your abilities
You MAY NOT give any flavour text
You MAY NOT try to force others about the specifics of their mod PMs
3. Editing posts is not allowed. Double-post if need be. (I can tell the difference).
4. Make your votes clear and easy to see. VOTE: Boozer is good.
You may change your vote, vote for no lynch and unvote as needed.
5. Lynching occurs once a majority has been reached.
6. If no majority has been reached, the player with the most votes is lynched. If there are players with equal votes, the lynchee is random.
7. Thread will be locked during the night phase until the next day phase.
8. Dead players cannot post in this thread, and can no longer communicate privately if their role dictated that they could.

Days have a deadline of two weeks. Nights have a deadline of 72 hours.
Inactive players will be given notice after 72 hours. If this happens several times over the course of the game the player will be removed from the game.

Yeah probably best if I repost this.

The main reason is that I can be more active on weekends and last weekend the day started at 6 or 7pm on Sunday so I didn't have much time to post. This time thinking it could happen again I wrote up what I thought on Saturday and tweaked it today after seeing the kill results.
I feel like we still have a cop for even nights as JLo was only for odd nights. I don't know how this theory really applies with that though.

What about Invisi?

We've got a claim out of him, we've got nothing out of Jezmo so he's the only player we really have no reads whatsoever on.

I wouldn't be surprised if people also had null reads on LEF, but that's more due to the content of his posts.

At the start of the game Jezmo basically asked us how to play as Mafia, he hasn't quite followed our advice but if he did it might have been a little too obvious.

I thought he was an unlynchable mafia at first but then him bringing up governor convinced me tbh cos it fit if he was the governor but trying to act unknowing kind of thing. It was an odd role to immediately assume for me (mainly cos i'd never heard of it).

Sup guys, unfortunately our town is dying, so I feel like I need to claim to give the town a chance at all. I'm Jezmo, Stream Watcher. I get watch someone every night, that simple. Don't get me wrong, Jezmo could still easily be a threat to us, but i have nothing on him.

So, for Night 1, I targeted Pazx, which naturally gave me results for cAKE
cAKE was targeted by:
Barrydabusdriver, the town odd-cop, so he mustve investigated him
CubT, also investigating Pazx, which was confirmed
BlazikenGod, bus driving
and two now I suppose confirmed mafia, Urisk and Invisi. Obviously Invisi soft-claimed earlier, but unless there's only one mafia in each group (which is possible considering night 3 results) Urisk and Invisi are mafia.
Night 2: When Maribro wasn't lynched, i didn't think absolutely everyone would freak out and pick Maribro with their night actions, so i inspected CubT, got nothing. No one targeted CubT night 2, excluding me obv
Night 3 tho: I targeted CubT again, surely the maf wouldve found his PR as some form of threat.
MrL was the one who targeted CubT everyone.
I feel like we should definitely pressure MrL for an answer to this, Urisk and Invisi too, but we definitely have to lynch one of those today if we want a chance imo.

Spot on. I am indeed a mafia, opposing team to Mr.L and Invisi however. And there's a third one on their team we don't know. Pertinent to this. I tried to kill invisi on day 2 but he was saved by someone. Knowing what I know it's likely they have a mafia protector.

Now, why would I say all of this? because my team just got a 2 for one deal. at the cost of my own life I get to take out 2 others from the mix. As such I would like the town to work with me and kill one of them today.
