As what I understand of the shield stun, it helps the power houses with speed / projectile .. poor Ganondorf. Re-worked Nair helps though.

I dont think this is a drastic change though, the improvement to high tiers is probably not a very big change
not nessacarily, if the mechanics and meta change drastically the tiers will change, one look at street fighter 4 should be evidence of that
New shield mechanics are kinda dumb
no matter what happens in patches the best characters are always gonna be the best unless massive changes happen to them individually
smash already has plenty of defensive/Escapable options compared to other fighting games there was no need for the shield to be so effective
Therefore, whilst it remains to see if it'll work out in a practical sense, theoretically this change will make high tiers better.
playing aggressively and not getting rewarded for it doesn't mean that aggressive play is bad
It makes mobility and movement even more important, the characters with the best mobility and movement also tend to be the best in the game
everyone is saying it makes high tiers even better but it makes a lot of low tiers better too
im speaking from the point of view of someone who plays aggressive and never got rewarded for it

Shield stun is good. The game will be a lot more aggressive, interesting and more fun.
With the new patch, everyone is now more susceptible to b button shenanigans of FG Links and Sonics LMAO

GIRL, shield stun is pretty much the amount of delay you can act out of shield if an attack hits it
It effects the game massively. You're now much more prone to multihits on shield. Also pshielding just became even more important.
i don't fully understand what shield stun is and whether or not its good or bad. Does it effect the game that much?
