"In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.

At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.

The game has two phases. Usually the first is Night. During Night, the Town can not communicate, but the Mafia can discuss and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player, and Day begins.

During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it is once again Night.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else."

Rules:
1. Unless your role specifically states otherwise, no communication about the game takes place outside of this thread. This includes both players and non-players.

3. Editing posts is not allowed. Double-post if need be.
4. Make your votes clear and easy to see. VOTE: Boozer is good.
You may change your vote, vote for no lynch and unvote as needed.
5. Lynching occurs once a majority has been reached.
6. If no majority has been reached upon the deadline, no lynch takes place.
7. Thread will be locked during the night phase until the next day phase.
8. Dead players cannot post in this thread, and can no longer communicate privately if their role dictated that they could.

Days have a deadline of one week. Nights have a deadline of 48 hours.
Inactive players with no prior notice will be given notice after 48 hours upon which action will be taken.

Looks like you need to go back and read again because I've made two votes this entire game. One for Corvid and one for Frames, which was a soft vote.

I don't like how you're trying to make me look bad without actually reading anything I've said.

I notice that instead of actually responding to my call out to you on my analysis you are instead shifting the focus onto other people. A fine distraction tactic, but I'm not buying it.

If you're going to shift blame around and not respond to people questioning you then you've moved up extremely high onto my watchlist for potential mafia. Perhaps you'd like another chance to justify why you voted for Corvid?

It is objectively bad to rush it though, youre losing a mislynch if you dont lynch so youre forced to lynch, you dont have to work everything out day 1 but you can definitely setup flowing information, see how people are voting, work out strands of intelligence on why people are voting and follow them to see if people are grouping up/trying to hide something ETC. Rushing to day 2 because you don't like day 1 is sloppy and means you put to much emphasis on night actions over discussion and understanding of whats completely going on.

in fact rushing anything should be considered MAF play

Interesting that Bijou has upped his game a lot since we agreed on treating "newbism" as being anti-town/mafia behaviour.

Perhaps he was trying to establish a noob persona to avoid detection but now realises that would not work (especially as you don't randomly go from suck to actively being decent) cos it would go against him.

Okay, lol. I voted for Corvid because we needed someone to focus on, like someone anti town and inactive. Scum probably saw this as a chance to not vote and just let the wagon be town-driven to avoid them looking suspicious.

Thats the thing. I'm cynical and don't believe what people write. Hence I do focus on night actions, as at least then most of the time you can trust them.

P.S Urisk, notice how each game I've rushed day one, yet I've never been Maf? Let's also note that you're playing similarly to the last game you were Maf ;)

Imo I think in future games, on night 0 players/mafia should be allowed to use their things, just so there's more info to work from when the game starts.

@CubT I've noticed that too, also supporting the whole strong mafia player telling a new player who's mafia (e.g. Bijou) to just excuse themselves with being new (who stepped up his game since we decided to no longer let that excuse slide).

This is kind of just a 50/50 though, because if he is scum then he'sdoing what you said, or if he's town he's just trying to contribute more, and stop being a noob. Either way the same actions would be made on his part n_n

I'm still pretty nooby to be honest, don't let the fact that I used a lot of words fool you into thinking otherwise.

But I am actively trying to make an effort to contribute so that I don't get lynched like Corvid and FramesJanco nearly did. If another townsperson gets lynched today that would be really good for the mafia so I want to make sure we get it right.

Or we could just not vote at all? Is that a good tactic or not really? People said day 1 it was a good idea but now that we have 2 dead already I don't know if that still applies.

A day 2 no lynch would be retardo as we have a lot more info now (while it still may not be much) than day 1. Also you keep saying the same stuff and not adding much to the conversation. Bijou, the only person asking for a no lynch yesterday was FramesJanco and that's why he got my vote. He hasn't posted anything since so my vote is gonna remain with him for now but that suggestion was terrible.

I was asking a legitimate question. Assuming another townsperson dies and then another gets killed at night that would leave 14 players left? To me that sounds really bad if we assume there are like 3 or 4 mafia members?

If there is a no vote the town would go into night phase and people can do investigations right? Or at least that's how I understand it based on what CubT said earlier. If night information is better than day information wouldn't it be better to go to night phase without lynching another townie?

I don't care if you think I'm pretending to be a noob or whatever but I'm legitimately asking why this above scenario is a bad idea? Since you don't believe me though I'd appreciate it if someone else would explain it to me.

This is just from a statistical PoV, but lynching D1 is almost always better."

I think what Maribro is trying to say is that no lynch gives you a less chance of hitting scum later on in the game if you do happen to hit town. We can't just rely on power roles, for vanilla townies their power is their vote so we should use it.

cAKE seriously stop. I've called Bijou out both today and yesterday, I hardly see how you could fathom a partnership between us when I've called him out for doing suspicious things. I'd super appreciate it if you actually read my posts before posting shit about me. This is your last warning.
