"In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.

At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.

The game has two phases. Usually the first is Night. During Night, the Town can not communicate, but the Mafia can discuss and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player, and Day begins.

During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it is once again Night.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else."

Rules:

Days have a deadline of one week. Nights have a deadline of 48 hours.
Inactive players with no prior notice will be given notice after 48 hours upon which action will be taken.

Sorry guys had my grandfathers 95th tonight and just got home, about to read over now, but we really only have the info on who voted for who on day 1, due to the LaggyLightingrod.
But so far it seems to be a round with a lot of power roles(or just really unfortunate luck that both deaths have been a Pr of some kind). So it will be interesting what can happen.

Soz guys was at stacked today and I've been watching the stream so not very active. But yeah an interesting NK by maf (or town?). Idk why corvid just didn't say he was innocent child, so that was kind of bad play

It's not a great idea to immediately claim innocent child as it is much, much more powerful late game. Laggy was for sure at error here, he just killed someone who is essentially unlynchable before they had given us a proper defence. He really, really helped the mafia with that play unfortunately.

Okay let me break this down for.

I'm softvoting because we have NO leads at the moment. There are a lot of new players and getting through the whole "are they being new or scum or bad" is. I don't have a clue about what you mean by "all your soft votes". This is my first one…

I have taken a lead, I've been majorly analytical in the posts I have made. I've tried to break down each page as best I can. Unfortunately, nothing of note has happened since I started posting so I have nothing further to lead you guys with. To say I haven't taken a lead at all is definitely disingenuous though, I've provided some great analysis.

He isn't newb though… he literally said he's played this game irl before several times.

Yeah that's a decent analysis imo. If you'd like me to clarrify, I put pressure on him:

a) because he needed to talk more (duh)
b) because he voted for wooy purely cos wooy voted for him (anti town behaviour)
c) had the time to (and did) message + vote while not actually contributing (linking back to reason A)

As for the new players, Framsjanco, haiku and insertname. Framesjanco has been playing decently imo, Insertname's contribution to the bandwagon imo isn't that suss, cos he still wasn't actually saying anything of note. Haiku's you could argue is just beginner's habit, however new or not we should consider there actions as anti town because even if they aren't mafia, it's not helping town and should be pressed to do more pro-town things.

I'd like to see Urisk's, JonCheee's and the other peeps who didn't vote's opinions/thoughts on the recent events. Been a few people not saying much.

It is a soft reason, but it's day one. Just for context, the last game I was SK and played really well, and town more or less won off my back. The last few players were SUPERBAD (and not in a SUPERGOOD way). Every game I have been mid wagon day one, I just want day one to move on, cause it's pointless. Pressure someone, find someone to lynch., Just do it. Thats my opinion day one, as it can just fan out and be pointless.

Day two, I really don't have much to add yet. Not sure about my reads right now T-T

so obviously I'm going to bandwagon on Corvid, cAKE and Laggy. At least two of them are dead. Can we bandwagon on cAKE today please?

Wow this is quite well done. Maybe we can have a Corvid vote tier list.

MrL seems to be bringing up Urisk a lot. Might be independent lyncher but would be kind of stupid to attempt to get a wagon on him day 1. More likely that he is suss of Urisk.

I find cAKE is categorising some behaviours as being "newbtown" as opposed to suss. Something I picked up while reading LEF's game was that he dismissed Cap's behaviour as newbtown and they turned out to both be in the same Mafia faction.

Also Aero has been Mafia twice and both times has gotten one shot strongman ability. This is not really useful but I thought it was funny.

I am also quite suss of both HydroPimp and LEF but it's hard to get reads on them since they don't post very much. Both players have come across as scummy when they were infact town in previous games.

Also I feel like new players with power roles tend to go very quiet, just an observation. Especially with roles like doctor, new players don't like posting because they don't want to be a Mafia target. My advice to those players is to actually contribute to discussion instead of lurking until night. You can still be quiet but make 1 post a day at least or you may be considered scummy by town.

Also just something to think about, when dean hosted his second Mafia game he had 16 players, with 4 scum, 1 serial killer and the rest town. Since this game has similar numbers we should expect a similar number of mafia and town when making predictions regarding this.

I used the word "also" quite a bit, but I'm not changing it.

I'm a bit curious about the people who didn't vote for Corvid, these are myself, SpaceJam, LachlanF, JonCheee, Urisk, Bijou and Battledolphin. I was out last night so I didn't see what was going on and when I got back Corvid was lynched, seems like Laggyperson wanted to quickly use his power before killed on day 2 I guess?
