There's literally no reason to make such a risky play like that on day one. Assuming that I am mafia, the only time I would ever vote to lynch another mafia member is because arguing to save them would also out me as teamed with them.

Like in the last game for example Hydropimp should have probably voted to lynch Atyeo once the cop found him to be mafia. Not sure how much of the last game you saw, but this is more of a prime example of when a player should be "busing".

I've already provided reasoning on why I think he could be anti-town and I was asking for other people's thoughts on my reasoning. Allow me to give you a tl;dr on my reasoning since you clearly didn't read it:

- Laggy is playing noticeably different than usual
- I'm not the only one to notice this so far
- Historically when players have improved compared to their normal output it's because they are mafia
- Being mafia gives them more information to work with, subtly making them play more confidently than normal
- In addition, if this is a game with day time mafia talk then they can get help / tips from the other members
- Laggy has also historically been a prime day 1 policy lynch target. I find the lack of people starting a vote train against him to be unusual.
- The reason trains can happen (and why town has always died day 1) in our previous games is because fellow mafia members are less likely to be involved in lynch training one of their members
- In a game like this, at least 22% more players (assuming there are 5 anti town, though it could be even as high as 6) are going to be involved in a lynch train against a town member than a mafia member
- Therefore, it's suspicious that a very common day one lynch target is not generating much vote traction

I've voted twice for him because the first time I was exploring the soft read I'd made on him to see if I would get any bites but then they more I thought about it over the next few days the more sense it made to me that he is likely to be anti-town.

Hey though, this is still just a guess but I'd rather try for an educated guess on day 1 for a change rather than just policy lynching somebody because we want to avoid a no lynch.

Usually if we cannot arrive at a general consensus on an inactive player or anything like that the easiest thing to do is to lynch a player who has historically been a negative utility for town. Unfortunately for Laggy he has been this quite a few times in the past. Mind you, recently MrL is giving him some pretty strong competition (hence why some players are voting him).

But the reason I want to lynch Laggy rather than MrL is because I think there is a higher chance of him being anti-town than MrL for the reasons I have explained earlier.

Sorry for being inactive for the last couple days but i've been pretty busy with University stuff and a doctors appointment and of course Neko Cards yesterday.

Right now I think Bijou is making pretty convincing posts that Laggy is anti town and although I haven't played forum mafia for a while he definitely does seem to be playing differently/more confidently. DD was also on suss list from before and now that Varous is gone I think it's fair to give Asa a chance so I'll change my vote to Vote: DD

The more I read the more suspicious I am of bijou and dean LOL, that said it'd be great if you'd stop being a cunt to asa lol, aside from it being rude it would also deincentivise new people from posting cos they're gonna get blasted for being bad which is pretty shitty, just shuts down discussion

for more context to the blaze vote i feel as if hes flown unnaturally under the radar for a new player (hes mentioned hes brand new a couple times) and is pretty much the only one who has done nothing 'bad'. maybe he's just a quick learner but i figured i'd bring it up.

i agree ive flown under the radar a little bit, there have been a couple of times ive gone to post on the forum, but ive felt as if theyre unnecessary and would lead the conversation astray, i would like to post a big page of information like others have, but rereading over the forum i honestly dont know what im looking for, but i have tried my best so far to point out what i think looks suspicious. he seems like an easy target cos he's not really doing much. i pointed out earlier in my post he didnt seem to be contributing much with his posts and now that he's had a bunch of votes put on him he just said "skimmed the thread" and didnt put up a defense or anything

in regards to laggy, i have no real opinion of him scum or not. i cant seem to read him and despite bijou's analysis i still think its somewhat still a coincidence. i could be quite wrong on this but thats just my thoughts. if i had to say though, i'm more suss on him than him being town.

My general feeling of suspicious players are Laggy, and Exist.

Exist seemed overly defensive on page 8 and pretty accusational.

Laggy is more of a gut feel but could be in cahoots with Exist.

I haven't played with them before but if either are playing vastly different to usual it could potentially be due to the mafia role/discord.

DD seems pretty genuine in the face of overwhelming accusation. Unvote: DD. Whoever gets piled on first usually has a joint mafia vote e.g DD and Varous.

Asa seems pretty reasonable and makes some good points so I am leaning towards town for him.

Mr L seems to be pretty reasonable this game which is either super suspicious or he's just trying to wipe away his history of awful mafia callouts. I would probably lean towards him being town/a helpful special role if anything.

Hmmm, DD's total non reaction to having this many votes on him is giving me "uninterested townie" vibes over scummy misgivings. Having said that, the fact he so far isn't willing to defend himself gives me the impression he'd probably be our best policy lynch today…

I'm still unconvinced on Laggy and I'd like to hear from Atyeo and dean's scum of the hour before I change my vote any time soon.

I'd be glad to be wrong but honestly I feel like day 1 has almost reached it's limit at this point. We have gotten quite a bit of discussion going but most of what happens in day 1 either a) doesn't matter until later on, once we have more evidence to back it up or b) doesn't really mean much in the end. We have a lot of information to look back on but at this point it's looking to be difficult to find new topics that aren't nitpicking.

I'll wait to vote to make sure but we should probably end day 1 in the next couple of days if the post continue at this rate. The posts have been slowing down quite a bit so moving on might be the best to gather more interest.

In terms of the current vote trains, DD seems alright for a day 1 policy lynch if he doesn't try to defend himself at some point. For laggy I feel like the reasoning is too shaky for now, I think we should just watch how he plays going forward to see if anything else has changed. We can't be certain of anything in day 1 so it's probably best to go with what we've got and compare what we learn in day 2 to what we learnt from this day.

Also this might be helpful for later if it turns out that there are several power roles in the game and someone doesn't understand one of them.
