Fair enough, so all I need to do is keep my vote on him? Was planning on doing that anyway.

I'm down for dean's trial and error method, I doubt that the hammerer is a double voter as well but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. It will just take a bit of co-ordination but 2 weeks should be plenty of time to do it.

Tl;dr for those who cbf reading:
Atyeo, Blaze, Glace, ThatLaggyPerson, JEANS, Asa, Mr L, Insie need to get on the vote train. Doing this we can weed out the Hammerer by smartly swapping votes on and off.

@dean, someone has to go first, besides, and im happy to do so, if insie gets hammered on my nonvote we can replicate the process the next day to prove im not hammerer, right?

Not voting because trolling or not voting because mafia? Can't be sure. If you're that interested in being lynched keep doing what you're doing.

Fuckin' lol'd.
The order of the votes doesn't matter, just all the people who didn't vote before need to vote now so we can work out who the hammerer is.

Question: what if the hammerer actually gets to choose when they hammer and this is some 200 IQ plan to frame a townie?
Just because Insie says it's passive doesn't mean we should believe him. Mind you if they actually managed to setup a play like that they probably deserve to win but whatever lol

Bijou said:Well IF it's the type of hammerer that needs to PM the mods to hammer (which I doubt; BattleDolphin's post was almost immediately after Maribro's so there wouldn't have been much time to get a PM in) and IF mafia decided that revealing another one of their powers and saccing Insie day 1 was a smart decision just to get us to mislynch once then good on them. Doesn't sound like a winning strategy to me but whatever.

By the way there is 10 of us that didn't vote to lynch Insie yesterday and we'd only need 9 votes to lynch him assuming the hammer works again so we need to set this up so that only 8 of us are going at a time right?

All of this is great, assuming Insie cooperates, but I'm still a bit confused.
Can someone please explain to me:
1. Is there any possible outcome of this process that would result in us not lynching Insie today?
2. What information do we gain from this voting-unvoting process that we do not gain from Insie's death reveal?
From where I'm at now, I understand the answer to question 1 to be no. As for question 2, if Insie flips town, we don't gain any new information because a town reveal simply confirms everything he's said up to this point. And I'm still a bit confused as to what information is gained if he flips mafia.
If he's the hammerer, then we don't get anything. If he's not then... we identify the hammerer. And lynch them tomorrow. Got it, just answered my own question.
I think I'm going to post this anyway though because I took a few minutes to think and type it up and maybe it'll explain what's going on to everyone else.

Wait a second, that means Insie doesn't actually have any reason to cooperate with us. Because if he's town, then the town don't get any more info from his cooperation. And if he's mafia (which I think is pretty much confirmed at this point), then his team stands to lose from his cooperation.
So... is there a workaround we can use that doesn't require his cooperation? Or is he able to screw over our plans?

Nah, Insie doesn't actually NEED to cooperate.
If the nine non-Insie potential hammerers all vote for Insie to put him on L-1 and then Insie gets hammered, then we can be somewhat confident that Insie was the hammerer.
It doesn't really matter WHICH nine of the ten potential hammerers jump on the wagon, as long as we get nine on there at some stage.
If he doesn't get hammered, then that means one of the nine on the wagon is the hammerer and we start swapping out votes.
So we're still waiting on cooperation from DD and four of these five players: Atyeo, Glace, asa, MrL, Insie.
