Man… is anyone actually gonna put forward a solid defence as to why we shouldn't lynch them? I don't think anyone has yet.

So I've never really been in this spot before or if I have it was a while ago so here it goes. Most of my mafia experience comes from IRL or VC mafia which is a whole lot different, most day 1's in irl mafia resort to "This person looked funny" or "Ok it's the meme to lynch this guy day 1" also in irl mafia night 1 usually happens before day 1 so at least we have 1 cop check and 1 death to work with, these are huge differences which I think mostly explains my behavior because from the start I've been saying we need to day 1 and also why I haven't been very active, i'm not used to literally 800 word essays on why Laggy's post seems different or why bringing up a role which i'm not even sure the mods is suss so when I see that I think it's either just over analysis because if you came up with that irl you'd be laughed at for your massive universe brain and day 1 hard reads or I just simply wouldn't know how to respond.
As for roles I bought up the hammerer just because I read it on mafia wiki and it looked like something to watch out for, the fact that even mentioning the hammerer makes me suss sort of proves that i'm not used to these types of games with tons of messages and everyone having a role.

I am alarmed at the speed of the wagon on Insie and the number of bandwagoners citing dean's post as reasoning.

I don't recommend it. As a town player, literally the worst possible thing that can happen is for a confirmed townie to be lynched, At this point in the game, each townie only has one confirmed townie. Themselves.

@Mr L My activity has been pretty sporadic so I'm trying to contribute as much as I can when I have beem posting. I'm flying back today so I can be more active from that point onwards.
This game feels weird to me because of the nature of the forum and that there is usually an initial night kill to have some basis - albeit minor- to place accusations on people. Also hard to make judgments without knowing most of the people on the forum well.
I still think exist and laggy seemed pretty suss in previous discussions so they would be on my radar for later days but we'll know information about everyone after the first night. Everything at this point is just conjecture.
I would like to hear more of a defense from insie (or potentially a role reveal). The defeatist attitude isn't selling me either way at this point. I'm not switching votes yet, but I'll see how the game develops while I'm flying home.
Also, what does the neutral flip on Duon tell us? I havent really played much with neutral roles nor in a game this size before. People have said 4-5 mafia/town threats with this number of players but I wouldn't think that includes neutrals. Is there any guesses as to how many other neutral roles/positive roles that there might be in the game?

If he doesn't that doesn't necessarily free him of guilt but I'd be inclined to look at other options I guess.
Can we get an update on Glace? He's been absent for five days and we haven't found a replacement? The only thing he's doing right now is increasing the number of votes it takes to lynch.
