Sweet, added. I'm thinking of still streaming, but not advertising it on my YouTube channel. This will give a chance for me to work out the kinks and not have to worry about the ruleset. So next time it can be much better!

Archaze / Jaice won't be coming to this, they've asked me to post this below from them. I agree that we probably shouldn't count these matches towards the PR and I'm ready to get DQed for playing Megaman on stream XD

Just an update regarding the event on Sunday.
Tonight we did some play testing with the new rules introduced for UQ Smash VI of 3 stock, 6 minutes for Smash Wii U singles. We had 2 of our best players (Jaice & Hopedealer) play a number of games over a period of time tonight, to see how things panned out. The matches resulted in around 80% of games played between the two going to a time-out scenario. This is without either player actively attempting to time-out the other, it was simply during the course of normal, competitive play.
Due to the above, we have found that the rules do not allow for a correct measure of player skill, and are not designed with competitive Smash Wii U play in mind. Also, the timer in the above rules can be abused far worse by characters that were not included in tonight's testing. As such, the number of games exceeding 6 minutes could be further increased by the characters chosen, and also by the player now having an easier option to time-out their opponent, rather than taking stocks. With some characters being able to time-out in a 2 stock, 6 minute scenario, it's no surprise that the same is made even easier for them with 3 stocks up their sleeve.
Given the above ruleset falls so far outside of the scope of competition, this coming Sunday's UQ event will not be considered for the Queensland State Power Rankings statistics.
If a new, more balanced ruleset is created to incorporate healthy, competitive play, and is implemented into future events, UQ Smash will again be considered for Queensland State Power Rankings.

QLD should just stop being such an outsider state and run the apex ruleset...
But no, QLD seems to think that rules that make the community happy is more important then rules that benefit the competitive scale of the state more..

Pity Matt and Jaice aren't coming. I thought they said they would if we did a gentlemen's agreement for top 18, which Lachlan said was fine. Shame that these rules divide our community so much.
Oh well, I guess that's four tournaments in a row Matt gets to dodge me. Lucky fella...
Anyway, really looking forward to this and really hoping to get some matches recorded or do some commentary. Would be a blast.

I agree with the post, but it's a pretty cruddy reason not to come IMO. Also something to mention, if you guys want 1080p 60fps recordings of matches, make sure to save replays on the console.

I'm pretty sure it'll be about 1GB per hour of stream. I've had a few other people offer to help, but I appreciate it as it might be better to spread the load. Looks like we are a go for tomorrow! The thread has been updated. Not sure if Zydro got my message or if he's coming tomorrow. But if anyone has a regular Elgato HD (not HD60). It would be great if you are able to bring it along. I also need a gamecube adapter, make sure to bring one even if you're not bringing a setup. It was a good first stream and hopefully the beginning of many more! Thanks to everyone on here who tuned in from here. Thanks to LIME for setting up the internet. Thanks to Jezmo, Hopedealer, Jyoshi, Arby, Aero, Blade, and any others who commentated.

I didn't get a chance to see any of it though. What did people watching think? I hope people liked my Megaman shirt XD Cant believe I didnt drop a game all day to anyone except Jezmo who I knocked out of winners FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
But it was really bittersweet with that ruleset tho timeouts all day long.
