Hello friends, the sites dying so I'm just posting now before I forget.

Roles being revealed early makes up for a lot of potential easy fake claims, so we must be careful.

Also i forget the math but it's either 2 mafia or 3. I'm sure one of the more experienced players like Aero or Ateyo may be able to clarify.

Also @Invisi, do the deaths reveal roles?

How did I steal YOUR name when I was born a lot earlier than you and I have been in the smash scene like 8 years longer? Anyway I'm travelling back from Newcastle today so I won't be very active till tomorrow FYI.

Alright so I can't remember the exact reasoning you can find it easily with a bit of Googling mafia basics but a no lynch vote on day 1 is the best possible outcome for mafia so anyone who votes for that is either a mafia or doesn't know what they are doing.

I am not that experienced I've only played a few times and not for a long time.
in my experience the exact number of mafia is not disclosed, so to answer your question I habe no idea

i was more talking about when you came back to ACT and everyone stopped referring to me as 'Luke' but as 'Glace' cause everyone knew you better, but even then I was just attempting to make a joke, apologies if I didn't come off like that though

also I agree with Atyeo on no lynch day 1 being garbage for town, especially with so few people, we essentially lose a day gaining no useful info

While I understand that voting day 1 can look reckless on paper, it also means we can learn more about who voted for who, and since we learn roles upon death, we can figure out people's motives for why they voted for someone who turned up town, etc

On that note, has Lachlan played mafia before? Because this is something that tends to get brought up in these kinds of games a lot, so if he has then I'd want to take a closer look at him

I'd say the same about Exist, but I can understand not wanting to make any enemies if it's your first time playing, so I'm willing to let that one slide for now.

I'd put my vote on Lachlan, but he's not gonna be here apparently so for now I'll just take my vote off of Ateyo

I also wanna hear from people that haven't said anything yet, since a lot of mafia players tend to say nothing to try and slip by unnoticed, but atm it's too early in the day for me to actively call anyone out for it.

Lachlan is infamous for pretty much sandbagging/trolling/unclear in mafia games and in lots of previous games he is voted day 1. Not saying we should lynch him right now obvs but leaving him alive isnt really that beneficial unless he has a powerrole, like you want to kill the 'least townie' people first if you have to kill at all.

Also Invisi when does this day end isnt it normally in the thread title? Everyone seems to be busy this weekend so I dont expect a lot of progress to be made.

I agree with atyeo on the no lynch thing. A d1 lynch gives town a wagon to analyse on day 2. I believe this was the google shit he was referring to:

”Let's take your classic newbie setup, as an example.
7 town
2 scum

Let's say that the town decide to NL D1, but lynch every day from then, and scum also kills every night.
Day 2: 6 town, 2 scum. (25% chance of hitting scum)
Day 3: 4 town, 2 scum. (33% chance of hitting scum)

Now let's say town lynch D1:
D2: 5 town, 2 scum. (28.5% chance of hitting scum)
Day 3: 3 town, 2 scum. (40% chance of hitting scum)"

However this can be risky lowering town numbers as it brings us closer to lylo.

That being said, lets please not rush a lynch on day 1. I believe our main goal should be pridding inactive players with votes and not leaving any votes unquestioned.

Fast games a good game!

Typically from what I've seen when playing these games is day 1 lynch is good.

Chance of hitting mafia or getting rid of the less useful townies is not the worst thing.

I'll do this for now because I still haven't forgiven him for ruining that game where he called all the mafia out when he was a mafia outcast or something and needed to be killed by them at night to be recruited. Also was there any particular reason that Aero voted for Battledolphin?

I can never tell if he's mafia, town or serial killers ever. Plays the same every game.

a week sounds like plenty of time Invisi, works for me.

Good to know about Lachlan, I'll keep it in mind for now but I think I'll save my actual vote for when everyone's said something

As of right now, I'm pretty sure the only player that hasn't said anything since we started is Mr L, although I don't think Aero or BattleDolphin have said anything substantial yet either

anyways i think i was here to play mafia or something so

I'm down to Vote Mr L until he says something of note, same with Aero and BD but I trust mr L the least to not do a dumb thing as town and get us all killed so it's a win-win, really

At the moment since his only post is a vote with no context, he probably deserves to be lynched.

But I agree we should wait a bit anyways to try and get a bit more information and involvement from everyone.
