Also I'd be very careful about blindly following other people, Exist. Makes it look like you just wanted an excuse to kill town for free, or you could just be blindly following someone you shouldn't be 100% trusting right away.
This is a game where you have to think for yourself, cause there isn't anyone else that you can be sure is on your side.

Aero definitely just swings votes around and plays the same every game, so it's always super hard to get a read on him.
His general play is anti-town but he can also be anti-town to generate discussion and come to conclusions about others reactions.

Fair comments from everyone about not blindly following others. From what everyone has said, lynching day 1 is always optimal, given that I have nothing to go off of on deciding someone to lynch, to me it seemed reasonable to vote the way most players are voting. Does the mafia know eachother at this point of the game? If so, I’ll admit my actions were a tad rushed. Seeing as this is day one, I don’t think Mr L can say a lot to sway voters as there’s no evidence either way. Feels like drawing a name out of a hat at this point.

The Mafia should know each other unless there are multiple factions, which I find unlikely in this type of game.
Also the Mafia should be able to talk freely on discord, but their may be limitations like they can only speak during night or something.

Havn't posted in a few days but nothing is really going on so eh. Also nobody else vote on MrL as the mafia or more likely just fucking idiots (such as lachlan) could just lynch him without him saying anything and also end the day before discussion can be made.

If MrL says nothing by the day before the deadline and nothing else noteworthy happens I say we lynch him Best option from what we know so far (admittedly very little). Even if he does flip town it won't be a huge loss as he is showing anti town behaviour by being inactive and casting a random vote with zero context.
I won't lay a vote on him for now and encourage other players not too until he says something. Others in the same situation for me include LachlanF.

Aero typically is a good critical thinker, just his methods are a bit... yeah well you know already.
Chucking a vote on him at the moment is just may way to get him to talk, since he often ignores things if he isn't directly focused. As a note some of the good lynches that we may want to make a decision on for tomorrow are;
LachlanF - Current #1 lynch for me at the moment since he wants a no lynch currently which either means he is mafia or doesn't have a good sense of how to play.
cAKE - Typically a bad player, often makes silly plays that benefit the mafia.
MrL - Makes wishy washy decisions and has currently had very little involvement at the moment he also seems pretty easy to convince in general from my previous experiences in other games.

Also the talking is good we are already getting some information, for instance I noticed rhyno (who has been throwing votes around a bit) decided to target Aero for throwing votes around, and glace straight away jumped on board with that just taking someone elses words for it that aero is going to play anti-town, its probably legit reasoning but it seems a little weak.
Rhyno then semi backtracked by claiming it was just to get aero to talk, this could be an innocent play or it could be a mafia pointing us in a direction and then making it seem like they arent that focused on the direction so that it doesnt look too suss if aero gets targered and ends up being town.
He then changed his vote again so that kinda just flushes everything I just said, unless glace is also mafia (remember jumped straight on board the anti aero train) and he is trying to have a different vote from glace to not make it obvious.
this is the kind of info that we are already gaining so its not like there is nothing to do or nothing to go off.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the deadline for day 1. If there is no majority by 9pm AEDT, day 1 will result in no lynch. I'm driving up the coast for Christmas tomorrow night, so if I'm on the road when the deadline hits I'll announce it when I arrive.
Nights will have a limit of 24 hours. I am considering extending the time limit for day 2 to two weeks to account for people travelling away for the Christmas/New Year period, but I think I should leave that decision up to you guys. Is anyone likely to need extra time on day 2?

I ended up throwing a fair few votes around because at the moment I am currently the most active player. The votes I've thrown around have been towards my list of players that should be lynched day 1 too, since I wanted to see how they'd defend themselves and to see if they would be helpful to town.
Trying to get discussion started is hard especially when people just typically ignore it and say, "yeah just lynch me". (Aero still ignored me even after I voted for him, which is quite annoying)
However since we are running out of time I make a stand on my current vote and think that if anyone should be lynched currently it is Lachlan. He seems like the least impactful loss currently and still has his No Lynch voted.

I have no experience playing this with you guys so I don't have the slight edge that comes with having pre-existing knowledge of how people play but I do have information on who has been participating in the conversation. While I know not talking isn't strictly anti-town behaviour, it doesn't help town gather information. As such, I think LachlanF is a good candidate to be lynched. As a side note, Rhyno being the most active player is scary. Being active can put you in a powerful position in these sorts of games. If the mafia were smart, they wouldn't be in either of these categories though. A smart mafia player would try not to draw attention to themselves. They would stay in the middle of the pack so that nobody would pay any attention to them while town began picking themselves apart. This is all based on my limited knowledge of hidden role games so if any of my information is erroneous, please let me know.
With that all being said, I still think our best vote is LachlanF, so

Also just to touch on the most active thing, what I'm really trying to do is create a discussion. Day 1 is typically based around assumptions and hunches then results in the person being lynched who is historically not good at mafia.
So it's pretty key to keep talking and getting information, but it's hard to base it on anything until later in the game.
