I'm heaps down for meet ups, but where is a place with enough good TVs? My house doesn't have a good lay out.
I'm not so keen on transporting my TV, but I can probably work something out.
We don't have enough tournaments going on for all smash in general (I'm only really into smash 4 though as with most people on this website),
and all our Perth tournaments are like $10 entry with minimal prize. And the event venues are only open for like 3-4 hours.
I want a nice venue where we can meet and play a lot of friendlies, and there is also a singles tournament and another tournament such as doubles or quaddles. And it's like a full day event. I imagine this is what it is like in the rest of Australia.

Just someone's house preferably, all money can go towards our own convenience and food, etc.
But yeah a venue is fine if the venue fee if any is small.
Taking Wii U's down is easy. The TV's as they are flat screens ( BENQ ones for example (1ms response time TVs or just anything under 6ms) ) means you have to be delicate with them and as a result people aren't so keen on transporting their TV. Location is also a thing, as we have people that are south of the river and people north, etc. Best of with a place in the center of Perth.
Some of the Project M guys book a room in Mount Lawley ECU (for free) every week and they have a project M tournament like once a month. (For example) Mount Lawley is fairly central to Perth.

I feel like literally only 1 person needs to bring a Wii U and have 1 tv, and we could play like a tournament like Xanadu or something honestly :^)

I have a pretty good set up for 4 people only since my room is small, but has space for an extra TV.

Thank goodness this site has something going on with the perth smash scene, because smashboards is a barren wasteland.

Is anyone else going to the Sm4sh WiiU Squaddles on Saturday? It's my first proper tournament and I'm keen to see the competition.

I'm going, my team mate Corpse might not be going though. My 3 team members don't play the game much at all also. They're pretty good though.
I need more time before I can confirm if Corpse isn't going, then I can try recruit someone else.
" 2 Character Strikes per team per game (Chosen in a 1-2-2-1 fashion, order determined by rock-paper-scissors) "
Supposedly there is character bans, and I think they meant 1-2-1 fashion.
I'm thinking character bans is not a good idea.
' All team members must choose different characters. '
seems to be enough as it is. My team has two Villagers but now I have to not use him, as my teammate exclusively plays Villager. And a lot of people only play one character. (I play like 10 characters.)

I have no teammates, sadly to attend a tournament. Don't think I would do well in squaddles, since my hamemr doesn't usually discriminate.

Errrr.... character bans... hate them. I foresee much discrimination between certain characters in this tournament. I play a few characters too Elton, and suck at a few. I'd like to see someone play Villager without spamming trees and lloids.

Hey guys, if you are attending the Squaddles tournament tomorrow and want to meet the man behind the yellow ball that keeps absolutely destroying you (just kidding), say hi. It would be great to meet the people I have played against.

I'm so confused about the singles. The facebook page says the 25th but the QLDSmash home says 21st? If facebook is correct then I CAN'T COME...

Facebook is correct, The host changed the times, and even changed the 4v4 at Cafe Myriade to doubles.
I asked admin to fix it.
