Yea see a lot of these are all really, really expensive. 220-300 dollars a day for a small room is just too much. I've come across some of these before but didn't peruse them because of the apparent price tag ~ thanks any blatkin.

Some you can get for half a day which is cheaper, don't think you'll need a full day in most cases. Might still be too expensive though.
One is $110.00 for half a day. Another one I saw was $115 for half a day.

First tournament for anything :) Quite nervous and meeting everyone was a blast. Really liked the melee table to just chill and have nostalgia take over my body. Winning best out of ones were not satisfying especially against Red and Matt.

Fair enough DemonicCake. Alright guys, I've found a place to host a tournament. It's in the Mandurah region ~ However, if you're willing to commit to the trip; it will be held in an auditorium with lots of space for friendlies, and other such things. Would any of you be willing to come to it? Right now I'm just trying to gauge numbers.

I was feeling super awful in the first bit of the Myriade tournament, sweating so much and pounding headache, but then I had an Iced Chocolate and it was all okay.
My first loss was pretty embarrassing, got hit by stupid shit and finished off by a Mii Brawler suicide spike.
Sad I SDed early in my last bo1, almost brought it back too.
Landed a couple Ganoncides throughout the tournament, one of which was enough to induce a controller throw. I was disgusted myself. Few uptilts for good measure as well.
Happy with my placement but should have gone a bit further, although perhaps if it wasn't best of 1 I wouldn't have got that far in the first place.
Glad to see you're putting a lot of work into getting something going vyeRa.

I've got Daniel Cocks and Samuel Messina Helping me out to get the Judging and rulesets tight and lots of other cools things people planned to ensure the Smash Scene continues to grow comfortably smile emoticon
What I need from you in the comments is any suggestions you have so I can ensure we hit the ground running on this.
Also mention what weekdays work best for you for the tournaments to run on.

That sounds awesome elton, thanks for bringing that to our attention. I'm happy to see people putting in effort to grow the smash scene in perth. I've been wanting to get into Melee and PM myself. And I would probably make the trip to Mandurah if I didn't have any event clashes.
