i swear half the posts made by decent players just completely go over people's heads. voting for someone isn't permanent and doesn't mean you want them killed, it can just mean you want them to talk more. i personally voted for lachlanF because he's completely closed up shop and i'd be interested to see how he responds compared to last game. we need 11 votes to lynch someone so sticking a vote on someone when they only have like 3 or 4 on them already isn't gonna kill them off, and it's even pretty safe when they're around 7 or 8 votes barring like 3 people deciding to quickhammer (which i really doubt will happen, would be way too risky for mafia). people are scared of voting in the early game and it probably shouldn't be that way.

At this point I'm going to chuck a vote on Spacejam because I feel like he has been playing strangely this game compared to the last few I've watched him play. Please explain.
Vote: Spacejam Lumi and LEF have significant pressure on them already and I don't want the day to end without Dale giving us a bit more info in regards to his play so far.
If you feel like any player did something suss you should probably discuss it in more detail lol. This is too vague to be helpful to any other player.

Day 1 is boring. I'm keeping my vote for no lynch, but at this point I'm really not too fussed what you guys decide as long as it doesn't take until Christmas. There's really not too much you can learn on day 1 when the only people that know anything are the mafia. And another reminder that I'm away this weekend, so my next post will probably be Monday unless the thread picks up in the next couple hours before I leave work.

I read though my last post and now that I have gotten some sleep, I realise that both of the votes don't make much sense. There is no point limiting the day in case we need more than a week so

I would vote for 1 week day one but were already halfway through the day so it isn't going to be very helpful right now.
Also with only 1 vote on Corvid it won't do much and as I said he has shown slight improvements so I'm voting for Lachlan as there is already some pressure on him and I want to see him talk more.

All voting for 1 week instead of 2 does is limit the time we have to gather information and make the best choice we can reason with the provided information, for a lynch.
It makes little sense I don't know why people would be in favour of it.
Another thing that's also been said is the fact that most people complaining are people who haven't voted or said much in the first place..
I'm in general agreeance with pressuring lachlan to talk. I personally doubt he will say much of use even if he was put on L-1 lol. With windkeeper's vote I think there's enough pressure for now though, so I'll refrain from voting.
Also regarding Dean and Bijou saying Spacejam is playing differently, could you please elaborate? It could be that you guys know him more and stuff, but other than him being arguably less active than last game I would've thought he's playing pretty similarly.
Also, going for a no lynch is still an odd choice imo, I don't really see the benefit.
- We're still stuck with more negative utilities (assuming we would choose to lynch one of them)
- We'll be statistically less likely to hit mafia day 2
- We will get less information from only night actions, than from a lynch + night actions putting us in a worse spot for day 2. We'll be stuck in a day 1-esque situation with less to go off of.
- It'll be harder for town to communicate and reach a decision effectively, drawing back to the aforementioned negative utilities that do not post, or say nothing of substance.
Haven't been able to post in a while so this is all that's on my mind from since I last had a proper check. Thoughts?

I don't think there's a need to change the length of a day. I don't really care though so whatever. I can only sort of remember one instance of a day taking longer than a week and that was due to mass inactivity, which isn't really an issue in this game. We shouldn't need much longer than a couple of days to just go ahead and decide to lynch someone from this point. The BIG issue I see at the moment is a lot of people just holding off from voting because they want more discussion… but they don't actually add to the discussion themselves???? If you're going to make that point, at least bring something up. Otherwise, make a vote. I don't get why none of you have been listening to like Extra, Bijou and dean cos those dues been drilling it into you that a vote is a vote, not a death sentence. Goddamn it town I'm mad.
