Sun and Moon Themed Mafia | GAME OVER | Town Wins! page 30

"In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.

At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.

The game has two phases. During Night, the Town can not communicate, but the Mafia can discuss and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player, and Day begins.

During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it is once again Night.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else."

You MAY state your role / alignment
You MAY PARAPHRASE your abilities, copy-paste from role PM is not allowed
You MAY NOT try to force others about the specifics of their mod PMs
3. Editing posts is not allowed. Double-post if need be.
4. Make your votes clear and easy to see. VOTE: Boozer is good.
You may change your vote, vote for no lynch and unvote as needed.
5. Lynching occurs once a majority has been reached.
6. If no majority has been reached upon the deadline, no lynch takes place.
7. Thread will be locked during the night phase until the next day phase.
8. Dead players cannot post in this thread. If a dead player had a role that let them communicate privately, they are to cease doing that.
9. Character claiming is strictly prohibited.

Days have a deadline of two weeks. Nights have a deadline of 48 hours.
Inactive players with no prior notice will be given notice after 48 hours upon which action will be taken if they continue to not respond.

My thought process was that I figured one of the two of you were likely to be anti-town due to my theory that at least some high ranked players will be anti town and of those top players I thought you two were most suspicious.

But in addition, if I was mafia I would look to be killing high level threats that aren't mafia and considered you and Invisi would be potential night kill targets. Therefore the idea was I'd cover two possible anti town players while also having a good chance to kill one off as I considered I wasn't likely to be targeted due to being able to drive myself.

Didn't think the mafia would aim for Hydro but the general play worked itself out anyway due to Lumi investigating.

Been thinking. I actually think a mass roleclaim now would put town in a very strong position at the moment.

Considering that:
A) Even good town roles cannot be killed tonight
2) A number of players have already made very believable claims
III) Considering there is likely no vanilla in this game, it makes it harder for any mafia players to make up fake roles if they have an obviously mafia role (like Godfather)

I'm not sure if a mass role claim is necessarily a good play since mafia probably has stuff like rolecop and bodyguard which can be pro town roles too.

Well why don't we work through this.

We currently have 18 living players, of which seven have made a claim of some kind:
I am Serial Killer, obviously anti-town.
Murkiri is a one-shot masonizer, confirmed town with the death of his mason partner.
Bijou is Bus Driver, almost 100% confirmed town.
Luminescent is Jack-of-all-Trades, also almost 100% confirmed town after investigating me last night and being correct. I very much doubt that mafia would have a cop-like role when I assume I'm the only other anti-town player in this set-up.
Invisi is Firefighter, I very much doubt he made this claim up so is very likely town.
Laggy was one-shot Lynchproof. I would like to believe that he's town because lynchproof mafia sounds like a garbage role.
And Duon is a Jailkeeper, I suggest a town one.

This leaves us with eleven players; I'd suggest four of them are mafia although it's possible only three remain.
LuminousLucas, Corvid, cjeccjec, Windkeeper0, HydroPimp, SpaceJam, Ghostbone, Maribro, Extra, JLo, KiwifruitKoala.

I suggest the townsfolk work through this list in order to determine their most likely targets.

If dean wants me to role claim, I'd gladly do so if it helps. We have nothing to lose since there will be no night kills tonight thanks to insert. I want to see how keen everyone else is on this though.

Also I just thought that IF we decide to do a mass role claim, we'll need to think harder about our night actions and keeping the powerful roles/players alive.
For example, say two people just confirmed powerful roles for town. Which do we protect? Or do we decide on protecting another target who doesn't have a super powerful role but are a very good pro town player?

A mass role claim right now doesn't sit well with me because although we haven't seen any negative utility roles yet the possibility of there being one is there. If someone was a Beloved Princess for example outing themselves would only help the mafia. Later on in the game a mass role claim might be a decent option but right now there is too much of a risk I feel.

murkiri saying he is up to date and then voting dean is fucked. he is confirmed town you can do jack shit and still never be lynched. why vote for someone when they have a lot of pressure and town is trying to think about what we should do right now it just shows how inpatient you are but seeing how our nights have all been 48 hours i dont see how rushing a day right before you are gonna be inactive for a week is good. shouldnt you be trying to make this day go as long as possible so you are up date by the time you get back???

I don't agree with a mass role claim. It is much too early and anyone who isn't confirmed can easily lie about their role. Too much chaos and suspicion can be made from claiming roles this early in the game. Town is doing really well at this point so there is no reason to go through with this.

If Dean is going to give advice like this, the more reason he has to go :P

I highly recommend most players respond to my other post though. It's nice to say "Let the day play out to see what information we can gather" but few players seem willing to actually state an opinion that could push the game forward.

With regards to Dean's scumlist, the only thing I disagree with is me not being near the bottom :( I'll give it a crack:

LuminousLucas - likes to parrot a lot, and I've made my stance clear on this type of play with the Laggy lynch.

Ghostbone - Seems to be somewhat reserved with statements, and posts concisely. Can be ambiguous at times, but he's been pro-town so far

KiwifruitKoala - getting a similar vibe off you that I'm getting off Lucas

cjeccjec - I'm getting the impression that you play too careful, can't make omelette without cracking a few eggs

SpaceJam - ily spacefam

Corvid - hella suss, very inactive, but if Duon's claim holds true, he's pre much town

JLo - town AF

HydroPimp - le angery dk player. idk if he's geniunely getting heated or he's trolling to get a raise out of other people lol

I wanna look through the posts of the last 3 people before I comment on them. They've been pro-town with their statements, but I might pick up something that suggests that they're doing something to what Dean is doing.
