Since no one is claiming I'm pretty certain that this is a mafia role. Last night I got 'vanillarised', basically meaning I'm now just a vanilla town person.
Obviously I didn't want to reveal this until I was pretty sure a mafia got me with it because I could keep bluffing I could protect myself if targeted.
Incidentally the other reason I had to target two people who weren't me was because Aero decided after I landed a mafia kill that it'd be too broken to keep protecting myself and changed the rules on me so I couldn't target the same person two nights in a row.

^ and this is why I was vehemently against mass roleclaim... I was expecting a mafia roleblocker or another strongman, but the now that town has to worry about a role neutraliser is unsettling

Yes this is why I recommended against it also.
I believe the vanillaiser may be 1 or 2 shot though given no-one else has reported any sort of shenanigans from night 1. Either that or if they have unlimited use of the power then they were unable to use it the previous night for some reason.

so if you could have swapped yourself and you choose a mafia member they would be a vanilla and be able to just say who all the mafia are that would have been cool too bad

Also yeah I didn't read exactly what you said, but if hypothetically I had been able to swap myself with a mafia then the mafia member would have been vanillaised to a goon and I would have kept my Bus Driver power. So they still would have been mafia, just with no powers beyond that of a mafia goon.

It's a shame that Bijou has lost his Bus Driver ability.
If there are any Town protectives out there, Bijou is still a valuable Town member to look after as he has been stirring up discussion and generally being a great town leader.

Damn Bijou, if the whole Lumi/Dean thing hadn't pretty much confirmed your story I would've been labelling you as mafia target #1 right now.

I still want to prod Laggy a bit more - which side are you on and what is your role now that your lynch immunity is gone?

Hello, sorry for not posting, busy week then Jamboree hits right as I get the strike.
Not much to say from my end, but I do have a few thoughts.
Mass role claim has the ability to end the game quickly if the mafia are not very smart. However, the possibility of two of the same role is actually not that low, so lying as mafia can be easy. In the end, its going to be the townie who claims he is said role vs the mafia who claims he is said role, so its not even guaranteed, just gives mafia easy targets tbh.
Bijou losing Bus Driver is unfortunate, but inevitable it seems. Seeing as he was one of the only people who's role seems to be helping town (unless some dark shits going on in the night) If the vanillariser did target Bijou the night before (I see no reason why he would wait) he was probably role blocked. Just an extra piece on this, I did roleblock Ghost with a jailing who said he hadn't used/didn't have a night role, can't remember which he said, will double check after post.
I think Dean is mafia actually, just trying to grasp on for life a bit with a very wild claim, so his lynch for this day is inevitable in my eyes, even if I did think he was SK/Jester, it would be silly to keep him around.
Its gonna be hard to pressure people today since Dean has already copped 8 votes, and after discussion is complete then off he goes. Says he didn't take a night action. I'm assuming he has a night action but didn't use it? I'm actually confused by that wording.

I've read up to date and are ready to share some thoughts.
Dean is obviously who we are lynching today as the mafia haven't slipped up or said anything wrong yet, so I agree that we need to apply pressure to the non confirmed townies so we get something decent out of this day rather than "we got the serial killer and learned some stuff too". I want some actual discussion to happen.
Also, I'd like to address my parroting too.
I'm doing it for a few reasons:
- Helps remind the town about something
- I can say something rather than "Just posting to prove I'm active"
- I agree with what someone said
- I can't make any reads at that moment/are confused

just to clarify, since my unlynchable is gone (1 shot) im a vanilla townie with no abilities.
I would be keen for a dean lynch if we cant get anything out for the day. if we mass roleclaim, there is a higher chance of mafia stuffing up, but then again, they could lie and get away with it.

Why exactly didn't you kill anyone the first two nights Dean? Not sure if you addressed that already but I'd like a good explaination.
As SK you would maximise your chances of winning by doing a kill every night. It seems anti productive to not use it two nights in a row. The town just knowing there is a confirmed SK doesn't matter if you're getting kills, I don't understand what trying to hide it would achieve.

By not killing I avoid tracking roles and am able to hide the presence of the third party.
By killing I am able to eliminate roles that can out me better (like cops) and I have to go through less Day phases without screwing up.
Killing is probably the more optimal play but in general I am confident with my Day phase play, I think I could've done solidly in this game but unfortunately there is little counterplay to cop claims. I also like trying new strategies.

man why did lumi have to say anything it would have been really cool to actually see an sk make and impact and live to late game like obviously as town that's bad but just as a game it would have been cool so it's pretty lame we go lucky.

It's definitely a good thing that we didn't end up going with the mass role claim. Since it's almost confirmed that mafia were the ones that did it, it might mean that they would be more likely to want it to go through. Of course there would be other reasons to want to mass role claim as already stated but if someone flips mafia and they were for the mass role claim, we might be able to find other members through this. Also I can't seem to find the role that Bijou is talking about on Mafiascum. If it's actually there and can someone post a link to the role, they usually have some extra information that might help us in finding out who has the role.

I would certainly hope that such a role would be 1-shot. 2-shot is also not out of the question given that the mafia's strongman also had 2 uses. Anything more than that would probably be pretty broken imo.

CubT as SK was one of the last 4 people living in my game actually. He outlived mafia and got done in by mason Corvid/Laggy.
Vanillariser completely warps everything. That drunk post I made where I said it was obvious who sent the mystery to Bijou assumed it was something like an inventor or something giving people chill powers but this power has 0 chill. Probs best we don't mass claim with this revelation.

Not really convinced about that since Ghost wasn't an X-shot role cop last game and that role is both OP and usually x-shot it could be a similar situation.
